|Pushing out of the start for some DH training.|
Right now I'm focused on getting up to race pace. We've had almost a month here in Colorado for training, traveling between Vail, Copper & Loveland. My technique feels sound and with everyday, I'm figuring out timing and tactics which go hand-in-hand. We've had a couple in-house races including a slew of international racers.
When you race, there's an adrenaline rush that can either be converted into: a) nerves you swallow into the pit of your stomach or b) heart racing energy that fires up your core and focuses your eyes down the course. I'm working on the proper conversion- getting fired up. Subconsciously the ACL injury is catching up to me and I have to really force myself to trust my skis. The last 10% of the equation is coming together, baby steps.
For now, I have my tickets booked to Lake Louise, back to Colorado and later for St. Moritz. My plans are tentative and will be decided only upon the requirements that it's best for me at that time.
